Rebecca Hazlewood is a British actress of Punjabi Sikh Indian descent. She is best known for her roles as Beena Shah and Arun Parmar in British television shows Crossroads and Bad Girls, and is most recently known for acting in the NBC comedy series Outsourced. Her other roles include Talia Ahmed in the ITV series Second Sight alongside Clive Owen, the BBC drama Doctors in the "Masters of the Universe" weeklong series in January 2010 as college lecturer Sia and the 2001 British Film 4 feature Dog Eat Dog with David Oyelowo, Gary Kemp and a then unknown Ricky Gervais. In 2006 she featured as The Mistress in the award-winning short film Sucking Is A Fine Quality In Women And Vacuum Cleaners and as Beth in Meeting Helen with Madeleine Potter and Emily Woof which was filmed by Oscar-nominated Director of Photography Christopher Doyle.
In 2007, Rebecca played young Parin in ODE, based on the novel "Ode to Lata" by Ghalib Shiraz Dhalla. In 2008, Rebecca appeared as Jaspreet. Neela's cousin from London in Season 14 of the NBC drama ER. In 2009, Rebecca appeared as Nalini, an Ajira Airways ticket agent in Season 5 of Lost. In 2010, Rebecca is appearing as Asha, in the NBC comedy series Outsourced produced and directed by Ken Kwapis.

Rebecca Hazlewood’s resume in acting extends from the UK where she has worked in film, television and stage for 10 years and more recently the United States. In 2010 she has appeared as Sia Clements in the BBC Drama “Masters Of The Universe”, a troubled and intense college lecturer. She is currently appearing as Asha in NBC’s latest Thursday night comedy “Outsourced”.
Rebecca also recently guest starred as unaccommodating Air Hostess Nalini in “Lost” and recurred in the penultimate series of E.R as “Jaspreet”, Neela’s sexy and unpredictable cousin who is running away from family obligations in London.
Rebecca won a scholarship at 16 to the prestigious King Edwards VI school after gaining 9 GCSEs at top grade. she gradated in Psychology, English Literature and Theatre studies and went on to study at Bretton Hall, a distinguished intellectual University College in the North of England noted for its excellence in sculpture, music, art, fashion, politics, literature and Dramatic Art. Rebecca graduated with a high class degree in English Literature with honours and had pursued and refined her passion for the stage alongside her studies. She was selected to represent the college as Isabella in “Measure For Measure” at the Shakespeare Festival and at the Edinburgh Festival attracting the attention of agents.
She was cast as Talia Ahmed opposite Clive Owen in the ITV drama series “Second Sight”. Then as the lead role of Mina Shukla in Film 4′s feature “Dog Eat Dog” alongside David Oyelowo of “Last King of Scotland” and Gary Kemp of “The Krays”/Spandau Ballet and a then unknown Ricky Gervais. . She then went on to secure the well known role of Beena Shah in the long running drama series “Crossroads” and then the recurring lead role of Arun Parmar in the 7th series of immensely popular psycho drama series “Bad Girls”. She then appeared in a number of award winning shorts including the role of Beth in the Film 4 feature “Meeting Helen” with Madeleine Potter and Emily Woof , directed by idiot savant and oscar nominated D.P. Christopher Doyle.
Rebecca always endeavoured to evolve in her craft by studying the Meisner technique with an underground Theatre Company in London for 6 years alongside her film and TV work. To consider a career in America was a natural progression.
She originally came to Los Angeles to study technique with Tony Greco and secured the lead role of Zara in Independent feature “Kissing Cousins” within two weeks of arriving. Her ethos as an artist is to develop characters with imagination and authenticity and too be present in the moment.
She resides between Los Angeles and London.
